Art Acquisition
Bill and Kay Bocock, proprietors, are greatly indebted to the 1550 Gallery (www.1550gallery.com) in Kerrville, Texas for its assistance in securing the majority of the fine contemporary art found throughout Artisans Guesthouse. All works of art (paintings, pottery and glass work), detailed within the catalog kept in the house, are available for purchase.
1550 Gallery is the premier contemporary art gallery located in the Texas Hill Country. The gallery offers a variety of regional artists in various media, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, pottery, jewelry and fiber. We specialize in colorful abstraction and expresstionistic painting.
Featured artist exhibitions are changed regularly. Special events coincide with the Art in the Hills Second Saturday Art Trail, which occurs the second Saturday of each month.
An additional smaller gallery features fiber arts, including one-of-a-kind jackets, scarves, handbags and jewelry, as well as decorative items for the home, including tiles, glassware, ceramics and artist made pillows and small furniture.
