Hand poured from recycled glass, Fire and Light glassware is ladled and
pressed with an exacting eye into a graphite mold, one piece at a time. This
combination of recycled glass technology and age-old technique yields the subtle
variations in both shape and color that distinguish each piece with its unique

A decade ago a small group of people began meeting in each other's homes
sharing ideas. They wanted to develop a plan for using crushed recycled glass
and at the same time create jobs within the community.
Our craftspepople at Fire and Light handcraft artful pieces of glassware one
by one, much as it has been done for centuries, preserving the rich tradition of
American hand pressed glass, and utilizing a once wasted
resource...post-consumer recycled glass. The result is a unique line of
beautiful glassware that is sturdy, dishwasher safe and at the forefront of
sustainable living.
Fire and Light continues to make its products here in the U.S. The company
has been recognized at state and national levels for its innovative use of
recycled glass, creation of jobs, and the leadership it has taken in preserving
