Linda Hirsch
Linda Hirsch is new to Texas, having lived most of her life in the
Southeast. She explored many creative outlets before discovering fused or
kiln-formed glass. Drawn to the versatility of the medium, she enjoys fusing at
a time when its technical and artistic possibilities are rapidly evolving. She
enjoys the challenge of simultaneously developing new techniques while creating
interesting works.
Her goal is to make glass pieces that are fun, functional, and decorative.
Although she has a background in art history, she gets her inspiration from
sources as varied as a simple logo or an elaborate mosaic. Her designs are
often minimal, with their appeal deriving from the beauty of the glass and their
ability to amuse and delight.
